Temperature decides your harvest.
Psilocybe cubensis mycelium fruits best at around 24 °C. When a room sits well below that, growth slows down, pins take longer to appear and flushes come out smaller. Most homes are colder than 24 °C for a good part of the year, which is exactly when kits tend to disappoint.
This mat gives off gentle, even infrared heat from underneath, so the substrate warms through instead of drying out in one spot. It is thin enough to sit flat under the tray, it is straightforward to install, and it uses very little power.
The sweet spot
Optimal growth sits at roughly 24 °C. The dial at about three quarters gets you there in a normal room.
Adjustable
A constant temperature anywhere in that range, so you can match it to how cold your room actually is.
Heat from below
Infrared heat spreads across the whole base rather than hitting one corner, which keeps the substrate consistent.
Turning the adjuster fully to the right pushes the mat past 35 °C, which is too warm for a grow kit and can damage the mycelium. Three quarters is the position to aim for.

How to use it
- Place the mat on a flat, dry surface and set your grow kit or substrate tray on top of it.
- Plug it in and set the adjuster to roughly three quarters, which lands around 24 °C in a normal room.
- Give it an hour, then check whether the kit feels gently warm rather than hot.
Do not turn the adjuster fully to the right. That takes the mat above 35 °C, which is too warm for mycelium.
Safe use
- Indoor use only. Keep the mat and the plug dry and never submerge them.
- Do not fold, crease or cut the mat, and do not run it while it is rolled up.
- Do not cover the mat with blankets, towels or other insulating material.
- Use it on a heat resistant surface, not directly on carpet or bare wood.
- Unplug it when you are not using it, and do not leave it running unattended for long periods.
- Stop using it immediately if the mat, the cable or the plug is damaged.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
